How often should I come in for check-ups?
It is recommended to schedule a dental check-up every six months.
For younger patients (those still growing) or individuals who do not maintain optimal oral hygiene, the dentist may recommend more frequent visits based on individual needs.
How often should I have tartar removed from my teeth?
Tartar should be removed at least once a year. However, if there is an increased risk of tartar buildup (such as poor oral hygiene, mucous saliva, smoking, or systemic diseases), your dentist may recommend more frequent cleanings, typically every six months.
Regular dental cleaning helps prevent periodontal disease and other dental problems.

Does tartar removal damage the teeth?
No, quite the opposite. Tartar must be removed regularly because it contains harmful bacteria that contribute to the development of tooth and gum diseases.

Will teeth whitening damage my natural teeth?
Teeth whitening may cause some short-term effects, such as tooth sensitivity, which usually disappears within a few days. However, when performed correctly, teeth whitening typically does not cause any permanent damage.
Whitening is not recommended for individuals under the age of 18.
Before deciding on whitening treatment, it is best to consult with your dentist to receive advice tailored to your needs and the condition of your teeth.

When should I bring my child for their first dental check-up?
It is recommended to bring your child for their first dental visit as early as possible, ideally around the age of three.
Of course, this first visit will not be the same as an adult check-up. Its purpose is to help the child become familiar with the dentist and the clinic, to encourage the development of healthy oral habits, and to allow the dentist to assess the growth of the teeth and oral cavity.
Parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions about maintaining their child's oral hygiene.
Are baby teeth important, and should they be treated?
Although temporary, baby teeth are extremely important for children!
They enable proper nutrition, support the correct development of speech, and help the growth and formation of the jaw and muscles, while also maintaining the space for permanent teeth.
For these reasons, it is essential to take care of the oral health of baby teeth through regular dental check-ups, and to repair or treat them when necessary.

When should I start brushing my child's teeth?
It is recommended to start brushing your child's teeth at six months of age, shortly after the eruption of the first baby tooth.
At that point, you can use a soft toothbrush and a little water.
Once the child turns one year old, you can begin using a fluoride toothpaste — but only in an amount the size of a grain of rice.
How long after getting a dental filling can I eat?
Thanks to advancements in modern dentistry and the use of light-cured composite fillings, you can eat immediately after the dental procedure.
Does a painful tooth always need to be extracted?
Not necessarily.
A painful tooth can be a sign of various issues, such as tooth decay, pulp inflammation (nerve infection), a periapical lesion, or gum inflammation.
With proper endodontic treatment (root canal therapy — removal of the tooth nerve), the tooth can often be preserved and remain functional for many years.
It is important to visit your dentist as soon as possible to receive an accurate diagnosis and the appropriate treatment.
Is root canal treatment painful?
Root canal treatment (removal of the tooth nerve) may cause some discomfort, but it should not cause pain thanks to the use of anesthesia applied before the procedure.
After the treatment, you may experience mild pain or discomfort, which can usually be managed with pain relievers.
It is important to discuss any questions or concerns with your dentist to help you feel as relaxed as possible.

Is tooth preparation (shaping) painful?
Tooth preparation may cause some discomfort, but it usually does not hurt because local anesthesia is used to numb the area around the tooth.
Most patients only feel slight pressure or vibrations during the procedure.
Is the dental implant procedure painful?
The implant placement procedure is completely painless because it is performed under local anesthesia.
Local anesthesia ensures that there is absolutely no pain or discomfort during the procedure.
After the implant is placed, your dentist will provide specific instructions and advice to help ensure that your recovery is just as comfortable and pain-free.

Can I get a dental implant if I don't have enough bone?
A key requirement for implant placement is having sufficient bone height and thickness in the jaw.
If there is not enough bone for the safe and proper placement of an implant, artificial bone material can be added during the procedure.
